About the Medium
Printing on metal uses a special technique in which an image is infused into (not onto) a special coating which is then baked onto an aluminum sheet. This process gives the image a vibrant and luminous depth of color. They are scratch-resistant and waterproof, making them ideal for hanging in bathrooms, kitchens and other areas where paper prints would be susceptible to water damage. Metal prints come ready to hang and will last for generations when displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight.
Hanging
For prints 8"x12" and smaller, a hanger with a sawtooth hole floats your print 3/4" off the wall. Rubber bumpers on all four corners stabilize the image and protect the wall. Prints come ready to hang.
For prints larger than 8"x12" a rigid board is applied to the metal within 1" of the edge of the print, this eliminates possible bowing of the metal. It has a metal reinforced sawtooth hole and a protective guiding plate for easy hanging right out of the box. Rubber bumpers on all four corners stabilize the image and protect the wall.
Cleaning Metal Prints
Metal Prints are extremely durable and easily cleaned using a soft rag or paper towel with any household cleaning product such as rubbing alcohol, windex, or glass cleaner.
